WOYWW 180

Whats on your work desk wednesday again , were lots of people around the world show the projects they have on thier desk today. If you'd like to join in the fun then it's simple , hop over to Julia's place
I've been knitting a couple of christmas teapot cosies from a knitting booklet by Jean Greenhowe.
The teapots i picked up from a charity shop for £1 each . I got two because one is for myself, to put  on the worktop in the kitchen at christmas & the other one will be donated to a local school for a christmas fete.
My little grandson came round for the afternoon yesterday so i could'nt finished the last one off , so i put it on my desk & ready for today to sew on the last bits.

  9. Love the cosies, very cute. Can remember knitting cosies as a child, they were the ones with ridges from top to bottom, don't even own a tea-pot these days.
Thanks for visiting earlier, only just getting round to a few desks this evening - busy day, and no crafting.

The owl pattern came from here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=348646.0
I made a few amendments adding another piece at the top, enlarging the whole thing by cutting the pattern into quarters and spreading out a little and adding the semi-circles on the front. There are quite a few ideas about, I Googled owl pattern images.
Don't forget to show if you make one.

  10. At first glance I thought you were making an artistic representation of the saying "about as much use as a chocolate teapot"... only a knitted teapot in this case, but now I see that they are actually extremely useful tea cosies - beautifully designed and made! Happy WOYWW!

  12. Love the idea of a christmas tea pot cover. I have a christmas oven glove I stand on my work top at christmas but never actually use as he is too nice.
